Little bit about me :) I’m a painter from Scotland, exactly from Glasgow. It’s a small painting and decorating company, most of our jobs (around 70%) are domestic painting. We do the full spectrum of decorating work.
I always wanted to have a tool that helps me make simple quotations for customers—where they get all the necessary information about what will be done and how much it will cost. That’s the reason why I made this tool. It just gives me a little bit more time for me and my family :)
I know there are a lot of ready tools, more and less complicated. This is my vision of such a tool. Most of the time I’m using a laser measuring tool—it’s fast and gives me the basics for a quotation. Very important is a visit to the customer’s house to see how the project looks from my and their point of view. Using a phone and a laser tape measure I have a very nice way to do this quickly.
This Painting Quotation Calculator is a free tool. Maybe in the future I will make a paid version with additional features, like online access to quotes or sending them directly to customers via email. But that’s not a priority.
I’m very happy to have this quotation calculator working and online. Please feel free to use it—and if something doesn’t work, “Shi… happens,” like my grandfather used to say :)
